Design Automation
Our mechanical engineers spend a lot of time bulding 3D models of equipment and assemblys. This could both be standard and custom designs. 3D modelling and drawing is a very tedious and resource intense operation where a lot of time could be used on more customer centered and value creating operations.
This is why we are now developing our own design automation program where the goal is to:
- Develop a program with smart models able to create complete general arrangements of quipment and casting lines based on logical and numerical inputs
- Reduce time spent on mechanical 3D modelling and drawing
- Reduce human errors
- Spend more time on technology, solution and equipment delivery
We will still use human engineering to model customer-specific and custom equipment, however we believe that time spend on standard solutions could be used in a more value adding way for our customers.
